Event Details

We are delighted to announce that on Friday, November 5th, we will be hosting Dylan Newcomb, integral body-mind researcher and founder of UZAZU, for an evening of movement and interaction that redefines dialogue as an integrated body-mind form of communication that taps into higher levels of collective intelligence - wow! This is a departure from our typically ‘cerebral’ speaker events - wear comfortable clothes and come prepared to move your body-mind!

In this unique, three hour exploration of Dynamic Co-Presencing, Dylan will guide us on a playful journey through the Four Quadrants of Embodied Awareness - dynamically interacting modes of being fully present and engaged with both mind and body, with self and other - that build on the Four Quadrants of Ken Wilber’s AQAL theory, Buddhist mindfulness practice, and various techniques from theater, music and dance.

Through fun, simple games and individual and small group exercises, you’ll get a solid feel for how to focus your awareness in four fundamentally different ways. Then, you’ll have an opportunity to put these four modes into practice by using them to dynamically co-presence together around various topics of your choosing. Discover how radical a shift in depth and meaning that a trans-verbal, trans-rational platform such as Dynamic Co-Presencing can bring to your dialogues and relationships!

Dylan Newcomb is a Julliard-trained dancer and music composer, and the founder and principal inventor of UZAZU. He danced for eight seasons with the Netherlands Dance Theater and enjoyed a successful career as an independent choreographer and composer, winning several major Dutch awards. As a founding member of the Danslab Institute for movement research in The Hague, he organized increasingly large and detailed research projects, involving hundreds of participants, exploring and mapping the interconnections of vocal sounds, movements, and feeling states with existing models of personality theory, cognitive processes, psycho-social stages of development, yin/yang theory, Ayurveda, and more. Since 2009, he and his partner Kyung-sun Baek have dedicated themselves full-time to the new modality emerging from this extended research process - UZAZU - traveling and sharing the work across Europe, North America, and Asia. Dylan maintains a private online and face-to-face coaching practice that uses energy psychology, together with UZAZU, to assist people with personal and spiritual development and resolving issues on a mental-emotional-physical level.

Here’s what people are saying about this work:

“Just as there are facets of the psyche that we can never get at through meditation alone, there are aspects of our buried selves that we can't grasp consciously without an embodied practice of some kind. Dylan embodies the essence of movement mastery shinning through the prism of Integral consciousness. UZAZU is an empowering mix of dazzling brilliance and radical awakening. It is the finest expression of Integral Beauty-in-action I’ve ever experienced.”

– Rafi Nasser

UZAZU has opened up a new way to see how I flow with the world, and how I can get unstuck where I need to. I consider Dylan not just to be someone who came up with an interesting energy practice, but someone who I believe is doing fundamental work with Integral philosophy.  The depth and breadth of his work, and the way that he's built on the foundations of Integral theory, is as impressive as anything I've seen since I first discovered Ken Wilber.  UZAZU is an important component of his work, and I cannot recommend highly enough that you experience it.”
